About Carla-
Carla Jimenez, eRYT-500 and Prenatal Yoga certified, has been teaching yoga and dance since 2002. With over 23 years of teaching experience, she has guided thousands of students, led transformative retreats, and for more than 15 years has served as a respected yoga teacher trainer, mentoring aspiring instructors through their certification journeys.
Carla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology with a Minor in Dance from the University of South Florida. She has served as a lead trainer at the Lotus Pond in Tampa, where she continues to inspire new instructors with her knowledge and supportive teaching style.
A lifelong singer and dancer, Carla weaves artistry into her classes by closing with live mantra music sung to her own original melodies — a signature touch her student’s treasure. She also leads workshops and retreats that blend strength, creativity, and mindfulness, offering opportunities to deepen practice both on and off the mat. Many describe her classes as both grounding and uplifting, blending strength, creativity, and heart.
Her music recordings are available locally allowing students to bring her inspiration into their everyday lives.
One unique element Carla brings is her ability to weave the Yamas, Niyamas, and life-based inspiration seamlessly into the movement practice. She also offers a gentle, meditative closing vocal element at the end of class that many students find deeply grounding and memorable.
As someone who loves to continually learn and grow, I regularly take classes from highly experienced teachers, and I can honestly say that what Carla offers is something I don’t often see elsewhere. I recognize the uniqueness of her teaching not simply because she is my daughter, but because of the depth, authenticity, and integration she brings to the student experience.
